Owls’ class is taught by Miss KIng and is supported by Mrs Allen and Miss Callaghan. Children in Owls’ class work hard and are always happy to help each other.

Reading – Your child will take a STAR Reader test each term which will determine which colour book-band they are on.  It is important that children have their personal reading book with them every day in school.  However, we also ask that they bring their school reading book home each day so that they can spend time reading at home. When your child has finished a book, they will be able to take an Accelerated Reader quiz.

A focus work sheet is sent home on a Monday with your child. This details the spelling list for the week as well as a guide to the areas to be covered in English and Maths. While this is not homework, it provides information about the type of work your child will aim to complete during the week.

Please also ensure that your child comes to school dressed in the appropriate kit on these days.  Please can you also ensure your child has their water bottle in school and has sunscreen applied or is wearing warmer PE kit depending on the weather forecast.

Please make sure that long hair is tied up on PE days, and earrings, if worn, are removed.
