At Nene Valley Primary School, we believe that extra support at home plays a vital role in reinforcing the knowledge covered within our core areas of learning: reading, writing, and maths. Engaging with these subjects at home helps children consolidate what they've learnt, build confidence, and strengthen the essential skills needed throughout their primary school journey. By working together with families, we aim to create a strong foundation for lifelong learning, ensuring every child has the opportunity to progress and thrive in their education.

Each week, starting from the week beginning 11th November 2024, a new link will be provided containing the relevant homework for that week. Each document will include activities for SPaG (spelling and grammar), reading, and maths, designed to align with the core skills we focus on in class. This homework is intended to offer additional support for your child’s learning, reinforcing key concepts and building confidence.

The homework is optional and does not need to be returned to school for marking, we will also not check on completion. However, there may be times when we suggest specific weeks of homework to help your child with particular areas, supporting their understanding and progression at their own pace. This flexible approach allows families to engage with their child's learning journey in a way that suits their needs.
